Here you will meet the people who work  in our offices and learn about their committment to the environment.  We all bring ideas and skills that help reduce waste and keep our environmental footprint as low as possible.  From reducing paper waste, to re-using plates and cutlery for lunch, to recycling all packaging materials, our efforts help us walk the walk, not just talk the talk.

I was born in Long Beach, California & grew up in the Los Angeles Harbor area.  I have been married since 1995 & have two beautiful daughters ages 10 & 6. I’m a Board member of my daughters’ softball association & also coach. I like all sports, but enjoy playing golf in my spare time.

I have been in Logistics & Supply Chain operations since 1999 & in 2008 passed the Customs Brokers Exam here in Los Angeles.

My duties include pick, pack, & ship all web & phone orders, & all transportation related inquiries.  If you have a special request for getting your order to you, please give me call and I’ll help out!

I was born in Hokkaido Japan, but I spent most of my youth in West Los Angeles California.  I graduated with a degree in Environmental Studies and Business from the University of California, Santa Barbara.  I joined 1 Bag at a Time in 2007.  At that time Lisa and I were still working out of her home.  We stored products in every open space including the hallways and dining room.  It’s been an exciting ride as 1 Bag at a Time has grown into a nationwide brand of reusable bags.

My duties include sales and marketing for our phone and online orders.  I also take care of custom screen printed bags including designing logos catered to your ideas.  But don’t expect me to be behind the desk all day.  I lift and carry the boxes containing your custom bags to make sure each one is printed to our highest standards and shipped as quickly as possible. ­­­­ As a conscious effort to lower my eco footprint, I usually bike or skate to work.   The exercise also helps me bring a positive attitude to my work.

I’m also in charge of billing. If you have a question about an invoice or an order that’s pending, or a question about bags you have received, you’ll want to talk to me. I am also the correspondent for all donation requests, so if you’re a non-profit looking for a donation, please fill out the donation form and send it in.  I’ll get it and get right back to you. I believe that every customer is important, so your call is always important to me. 

Part of my job is making sure our office creates as little waste as possible. I have many strategies, everything from reusing misprinted papers or old documents to using half-sheet letterhead and buying office materials made from recycled products. In an upcoming blog I will be posting more details about some of the things we do to keep the 1 Bag office as green as possible. Maybe you will be inspired to help your office do the same!
